The Palestinian Summer Celebrations
June 15 - July 13 & July 14 - Aug 17, 2008
Come and celebrate Palestine, learn Arabic, study history, know the people and their culture, share some time with local families and volunteer with a local community organization.  The Palestinian summer celebration is a unique annual program that gives people from all over the world the chance to encounter the life and culture in Palestine in addition to donating some of their time to a local community organization through voluntary work and internships.

Palestine Summer Encounter
May 22 - Aug 14, 2008

Palestine Summer Encounter (PSE) is a one, two, or three month service learning and cultural immersion program in Bethlehem, Palestine. Participants study Arabic in and outside of the classroom setting, live with a Palestinian host family, volunteer with one of thirty-seven participating nonprofits and organizations and meet with both Israeli and Palestinian peacemakers.

Investing in Peace: Addressing an Ongoing Occupation
July 26-Aug 9, 2008
Join Interfaith Peace-Builders and the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation for a unique opportunity to learn about the current situation in Israel/Palestine and the effects of the Israeli occupation.  In addition to standard programming, this delegation will focus on the structural segregation of Israeli and Palestinian space and the physical separation of the two peoples.

In the summer of 2008, ICAHD will once again rebuild a Palestinian home, and invites you to participate in this incredible opportunity to learn first-hand about life under Occupation.

Journey for Justice Youth Program
July 23-31, 2008
Journey for Justice is an annual program that brings together youth from YMCAs and YWCAs all over the world to experience and share the occupation with Palestinian youth. For ten days, they join Palestinian youth and travel around Israel and Palestine to witness the effects of Israeli occupation.

Olive Picking Program 2008
October 25th - November 3rd

The objective of this program is to mobilize international volunteers to assist in picking olive in fields that are situated in proximity of Israeli settlements and bypass roads. Besides picking olives, the program will feature introductory presentations about the current situation in Palestine and the effect of the Apartheid Wall, tours in the Old City of Jerusalem, in Bethlehem and Hebron, in addition to cultural events and social gatherings.

Olive Harvest Delegation
November 8th-22nd

This delegation, co-sponsored by the American Friends Service Committee, will provide an opportunity to participate in the Palestinian olive harvest season — generally a time of great community activism, where people of all ages from Palestine, Israeli peace and justice groups, and international groups join farmers as they reap their harvest.

Autumn Study Tours to Israel & Palestine

November 2008

ICAHD will be hosting two 10 day tours in Israel/Palestine this November.  One will be a general experiential tour based from Bethlehem including day trips to Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Hebron, Ramallah and villages in the Occupied Territories.  The second is a clinicians study tour, featuring visits to 8 hospitals and 2 clinics to compare services available to Israelis and Palestinians.
